Chapter 1: Introductions

Goal: Learn How To Play

  • This tutorial level will show you how the game is played by matching pairs of items or actions.
  • Combine the flowers on the floor with the empty vase on the top shelf.
  • Use the loose papers on the couch with the file folder on the counter.
  • Use the “pull” action icon in the lower menu tray on the file drawer.
  • Put the folder in the open drawer.
  • Click on the letter opener on the counter to add it to your inventory.
  • Use the letter opener on the letter on the end table.
  • Click on the opened letter to read the list of staff members.

Goal: Finish Task List and Snoop A Little

  • Take and read the list of tasks.
  • Place the nail polish on the lower, open area of the display shelves.
  • Put the shampoo on the upper empty area of the display shelf.
  • Take the feather duster and dust the lights over the reception desk.
  • Use the glass cleaner on the harmonica case.
  • Open the harmonica case with the lift action icon.
  • Open the drawer over the recycle bin using the “pull” action icon.
  • Look inside the drawer to find the screwdriver.
  • Use the screwdriver on the harmonica.
  • Click on the harmonica to find a letter from Hippocrates.
  • Click on the letter to read the second page.

Chapter 2: The Job

  • Mr. Bleski asks you if you know why you are here. The correct response is: Of course, you want me to investigate the bombings.
  • Mr Bleski says you have arrived just in time. The correct response is: Would you like me to go out there and fold towels?
  • Cassidy gives you a map to the resort. Click on the map to page through it and close it.

Goal: Decode the Note

  • Cassidy then gives you the note from the bomber. Click on OK to open the mini-game.
  • The object of this mini-game is to swap tiles to complete the letters.
  • Tiles can be swapped with any of the eight surrounding tiles.
  • Swaps must result in the completion of a letter.
  • On the right are gauges that will measure how many matches of each letter have been made. Fill each meter to complete the game.
  • The assists are in the upper left. You have two scramble tiles and three hints to show a match.

  • Upon completing the mini-game, the note from the bomber will appear.
  • Unscramble the word for a clue to the location of the bomb.
  • I hang out in the tropics – vines.

  • The resort map will appear and you will need to correctly identify the next location based on the bomber’s clues.
  • “Vines” and “Tropics” indicate the next location is the Jungle room.
  • Click on the Jungle Room to progress to the next location.

Chapter 3: Grumble in the Jungle

  • Mrs. Montague asks if you are Mr. Mingles; the correct response is: Uh, no, I’m Nancy, the new general assistant.

Goal: Take Care of Mrs. Montague

  • Select Mrs. Montague’s face and the “scratch” action icon.
  • Select the access panel on the bath and the “press” action icon.
  • Click on the dial inside the access panel and the “turn” action icon.
  • Use the watering can with the small waterfall.
  • Use the filled watering can on the thirsty plant.
  • Select the drawer on the small table and the “pull” action icon.
  • Click on the open drawer to read the gossip to Mrs. Montague.

  • Pick up the tea instructions from the cart; then read them from the action bar.
  • Select the refrigerator door and the “pull” action icon.
  • Take the tea from the refrigerator and combine it with the strainer.
  • Place the strainer in the teapot.
  • Use the teapot on the hot water dispenser.
  • Pour the tea into the cup.
  • Give the cup to Mrs. Montague.

  • Move the cursor over the shower and click when the indicator bar is to the far right.
  • Click on the knob twice to open the panel.
  • Select the bomb to activate a mini-game.

Chapter 4: Hair of the Dog

Goal: Find Mr. Mingles

  • Click on the dumbwaiter door.

  • Select the center of the right column to trigger a mini-game.
  • The object is to select an item from the lower line that is part of an object from the upper line.
  • Press the following combinations: Leaf & Tree, Star & Constellation, Feather & Bird, Raindrop & Raincloud, and Knot & Rope.

  • Click on the door that opened below and find some instructions.
  • Select the instructions in inventory to read, and we learn that there are many puzzles to open the dumbwaiter.

  • Press the symbols in the order stated in the poem.
  • Press: Rose, Cherries, Heart, and Wineglass.
  • Solving this puzzle reveals a square tile.

  • Locate the missing square tile on the upper left and combine it with the one you just found in the pillar.
  • Click on the center of the second pillar from the left for a mini-game.
  • Press the symbols in the order stated in the poem.

  • Solving this puzzle reveals a triangular tile.
  • Look on the back wall at the mosaic.
  • Locate the missing triangular tile near the center and combine it with the one you just found in the pillar.
  • Click on the center of the third pillar from the left for a mini-game.
  • Press the symbols in the order stated in the poem.
  • Press: Moon and then Cheese.

  • Solving this puzzle reveals a square tile.
  • Look on the back wall at the mosaic.
  • Locate the missing square tile near the right and combine it with the one you just found in the pillar.
  • Use the tweezers from the table on the keyhole of the pantry door to get the blue gem.
  • Place the gem on the chandelier.
  • Pull the chains on the chandelier in this order: Blue, Yellow, Purple and Orange.
  • Select the door handle and the “pull” action icon to open the pantry door.
  • Click on the drain cover and the “lift” action icon to reveal a key.
  • Combine the key with the cupboard under the mosaic.
  • Look inside the cupboard to find a switch.
  • Select the switch and the “flip” action icon.

  • Select the shelf in the pantry to reveal a mini-game.
  • The object of the game is to place bottles on the shelf equal to 15 ounces.

Chapter 5: On a Molecular Level

Goal: Find Helfdan, the Biochemist

  • Based on the conversation with Mrs. Montague, select the laboratory in the basement.

Goal: Assist Mr. Helgason

  • Mr. Helgason assumes you are his new assistant.
  • A mini-game is activated in which the object is to form the three molecules pictured.
  • Rotate the balls on the board so that each red ring contains one color.
  • Left-click rotates the ball counter-clockwise, and right-click rotates the ball clockwise.
  • If you do not have three matching colors inside a red ring, make matches elsewhere on the board so that new pieces will move into play.

  • When speaking to Helfdan, the correct response is: It concerns the green goo you found in the Jungle Room. I’m pretty sure it was meant to explode.
  • Cassidy calls for you to return to the reception area.

Goal: I Need to Find That Bomb

  • The customer insists on having her facial now.
  • The goal of this mini-game is to recreate the facial pattern on the left.
  • You will need to perform five facials.
  • You may press the reset button at any time to start a facial over.
  • For the first facial, use the yellow mud mask.
  • Place a kiwi on each eye and the orange slice on the mouth.
  • Apply the blue mud mask.
  • Remove both kiwi slices and the orange slice.

  • For the second facial, use the brown mud mask.
  • Place a kiwi slice over each eye.
  • Use the yellow mud mask.
  • Remove both kiwi slices.

Goal: Get The Pod Open

  • Select the green rectangle on the side of the pod to read the instructions.
  • Use the cabinet with the “pull” action icon.
  • Inside the cabinet, take the hose and use it with the faucet.
  • Also use the hose with the spout at the bottom of the pod.
  • Use the button on the left side of the waterfall with the “press” action icon.
  • Inside the waterfall’s hidden cabinet is the salt that goes in the receptacle at the bottom of the pod.
  • Also inside the hidden cabinet is a UV bulb. Use the “twist” action icon to remove it from the socket.
  • Replace the UV bulb on the pod.
  • Use the “turn” action icon with the handle over the salt receptacle.
  • Use the “turn” action icon with the faucet handle.

Chapter 7: Jasmine Help

Goal: I Need to Fix Whatever Is Hissing

  • Click on the lower base of the right pillar to activate a mini-game.

  • The object of this mini-game is to place each disc in the proper places.
  • Each disc references a number:0 – freezing 1 – unicorn 2 – Gemini 4 – clover 5 – star 7 – wonders 8 – octopus 10 – decade

  • Combine the button from inside the compartment with the “press” action icon.
  • Out falls Jasmine’s phone.

Goal: Now I Can Snoop Around

  • Take Jasmine’s phone.
  • Look at the phone to find her passwords.
  • Combine the phone and the laptop and discover that Jasmine and Eda are sisters.
  • Use the “pull” action icon with the painting to uncover the safe.
  • Combine the safe and the phone.
  • Look in the open safe to see that Jasmine has been collecting threat letters.

Chapter 8: Suspects

  • The first correct response to Mr. Bleski is: I met Jasmine Ivy. And I found out that she … has been getting threats.
  • When Mr. Bleski inquires about Mrs. Montague, respond: Well, I managed to … keep her from getting covered with goo.
  • The third correct response is: Actually, according to Helfdan Helgason, the bomb in the Jungle room … was a dud.
  • Mr Bleski wants you to snoop around Heldan’s laboratory.

Goal: Where Do I Go Next?

  • From the map, click on the laboratory to move to that room.

Chapter 9: Cosmetological Caper

Goal: What Is Helfdan Hiding?

  • Combine the locked lunch box with the monkey cage to break the code.
  • Look inside the lunch box.

Resorting to Danger

  • Click on the note from Mom to reveal Helfdan’s note to himself: The test tubes must be put in their places, then the fourth one is the key.
  • Select the test tube on the center desk for a mini-game.
  • The object is to correctly arrange the test tubes and take the correct key.
  • Each test tube has two colors that, when mixed together, need to match the color in the rack.
  • Per Helfdan’s note, click on the fourth key. It is encased in jelly.

Resorting to Danger

  • Place the hose on the Bunsen burner.
  • Use the test tube on the burner to melt away the jelly and get the key.
  • Use the key on the drawer below the test tubes.
  • Look in the drawer to take the paper.
  • Read the paper and find the formula for Compound X.
  • Use the “shake” action icon on the lab coat to find the valve.
  • Place the valve on the tank of red liquid.
  • Fill the empty flask with red liquid.
  • Use the gray powder on the scale to measure five ounces.
  • Fill the 500ml cylinder with the blue liquid.
  • Combine the blue liquid with the flask.
  • Fill the 1000ml cylinder with the purple fluid.
  • Pour the purple fluid into the flask.

  • Pour the flask into the Petri dish to trigger a mini-game.
  • A mini-game is activated in which the object is to form the three molecules pictured.
  • Rotate the balls on the board so that each red ring contains one color.

  • Put the eyeball in the head at the top of the chest.
  • Place the eyeball from the painting in the head at the top of the chest.
  • Take and read the paper that appeared by the head.

  • Click on the cabinet for a mini-game.
  • In this logic puzzle, place the animals in the correct order based on their statements.
  • From left to right, the animals should be cat, frog, hare, dog, and rat.
  • Click on the tiles to swap places.

  • Click on the set of nine drawers for another mini-game.
  • The object of this mini-game is to move the pieces so that each row and column has one symbol, one animal, one fruit, and three colors.
  • Click on the tiles to swap places.

  • Look in the drawer that is revealed to find evidence that Nick is embezzling money from the Spa and the clients.
  • Mrs. Montague calls and you realize that this would be a good time to investigate the basement.

Chapter 13: Furnace Room

Goal: Where Do I Go Next?

Goal: I Have To Find That Bomb

  • Move the cursor over the furnace and click when the indicator bar is to the far right.
  • Use the “lift” action icon on the furnace control box.
  • Look inside the control box to discover a crank is needed.
  • The crank is above the ribbons but is too high to reach.
  • Use the broom on the crank.
  • After the crank falls, use it on the furnace control box.
  • Use the “turn” action icon on the crank.
  • Use the “pull” action icon on the furnace door to locate the bomb.

  • Click on the cover twice to open the panel.
  • Inside, you see a scrap from a magazine.
  • Click on the bomb to activate the mini-game.
  • The object of this mini-game is to create a path that connects the two end pieces.
  • Swap tiles to create a path.

  • If you run out of time, the mini-game will be restarted.

Goal: What could Joanna be hiding?

  • Use the “lift” action icon on the drain cover and find a crucible.
  • Combine the screwdriver piece with the handle from the mop bucket to make a screwdriver.
  • Look at the rat house to see a metal ingot stuck in a tube.
  • Look at the book on the shelf and discover the rat food.
  • Give the rat the food and he will push the ingot out of the tube.
  • Combine the ingot and the crucible; then heat the crucible in the furnace.
  • Use the “pull” action icon on the chair lever to find a mold under the footrest.
  • Pour the melted metal into the mold.
  • Use the insulated towels on the mold and dip it into the mop water.
  • Use the new key on the left lock of the chest.
  • Use the screwdriver on the emblem over the furnace to find the second key.

Goal: Anymore Interesting Emails?

  • Look at the To Do list on the desk.
  • Look at the computer and discover that you need the new password.
  • Look at the phone on the wall.
  • We need to find Jasmine’s number so we can locate her phone.
  • Look at the magazine on the coffee table and take the business card scrap.
  • Use the “pull” action icon on the coffee table drawer to find a scrap.
  • Look at the bowl of salad for another scrap.
  • Use the “pull” action icon on the bathroom door.
  • Use the “shake” action icon on the masseuse table to locate a scrap.
  • Use the “lift” action icon on the shower drain.
  • Use the tongs to get the scrap from the drain.
  • Find the remaining three pieces on the couch, under the bed and under the desk.

Resorting to Danger

  • Combine the eight scraps with the tape from the suitcase.
  • A jigsaw type mini-game appears.
  • Repair Jasmine’s business card by dragging the scraps to the proper locations.
  • Click on Back to exit the business card.

  • Combine the business card with the wall phone and listen for ringing.
  • The ringing is coming from the TV cabinet at the end of the bed.
  • Use the “pull” action icon on the patio door.
  • Look at the remote to find it needs batteries.
  • Use the remote with the batteries in the suitcase.
  • Use the “press” action icon on the remote.
  • Take the phone from the top of the TV.
  • Use the phone on the laptop.
  • An email from Jasmine’s agent wants her to play up the threats for more publicity.
  • Jasmine appears and the correct response is: Her. Her name’s Joanna Brown. She has an interesting collection of … rats.
  • The second correct response is: I just read that you recently … underwent plastic surgery.
  • The third correct response is: Speaking of publicity, Eda Brooks, the star of the new ‘Pharaoh’ movie – is she really … your sister?
  • Cassidy calls Nancy back to reception.

Chapter 15: Missing Cassidy

Goal: Time to Man the Phones

  • Mr. Bleski wants you to man the phones since Cassidy had to leave.
  • The object of this mini-game is to transfer the call to the correct extension.
  • A call in green is fresh, while yellow has been waiting, and red means you are about to lose the call.
  • Click on a line and then click on the correct area to transfer the call.
  • The caller’s request will show up at the top of the screen.
  • You need to transfer 20 calls. Five lost calls will re-start the mini-game.

This is Bill from Bill’s Biochemicals. I need to confirm an order: R & D Laboratory. Let me speak to your head biochemist, please: R & D Laboratory. Let me talk to someone who can dye my hair: Salon.   • Look at the magazine on the coffee table. It’s the one used in the last bomb.
  • There is no mailing address; look at the recycling bin – it’s locked.
  • Look at the note to discover that Mr. Mingles has buried the keys by the fountain.
  • Use the “pull” action icon to open the cabinet.
  • Inside the cabinet, use the “press” action icon on the fountain power button.
  • Look at the base of the fountain to find we need something to scoop the rocks.
  • Open the drawer behind reception and dump the pencils into the drawer.
  • Use the pencil cup on the base of the fountain.
  • Combine the string from the harp with the paper clip on the counter.
  • Use the fish hook to pull the keys out of the pump.
  • Use the keys on the recycle bin.
  • Look in the recycle bin to discover that the magazine belongs to Cassidy.

  • Cassidy arrives and the correct response is: Not really. But I’m still trying to figure out a lot of stuff. Like, why did I find … a piece of your magazine wedged in the last bomb?

Chapter 16: Little Blue Doggie

  • Mr. Bleski has sent you to the Jungle room to capture Mr. Mingles.
  • Move the cursor over the bubbles to pop them.
  • Click on Mr. Mingles as soon as you see him.

  • Mr. Bleski arrives to take the dog. The correct response is: The thing is, Mr. Mingles is burping blue bubbles because he … swallowed an explosive compound.
  • The second correct response is: But it looked like Helfdan was being very secretive about this substance. I think he calls it … Compound X.
