King’s Quest – The Silver Lining: Haunted Castle Experience

This game is a bit of a short, which came out around Halloween in 2016 (after chapter four – though the date for the projected release of chapter five which is in the end is wrong since the game is on a new system now….

Walk forward and to the right to the little hut just outside of the castle. Take the lantern and enter the castle.

Walk all the way forward to the throne room door and read the message.

Pan right and enter that door (I always have a hard time navigating this passage, so I do it first). After the banshee screams and leaves, take the box piece from the circle and leave the room. Go to the other single door down here and walk all the way forward to the alter. Take the box piece. Return inside the castle and go upstairs.

Check all rooms for box pieces. In the room with a bookshelf on the left wall, move the green book and pull the lever then cross the room and take the box piece (be careful of the flames).

When you have all six pieces, the box automatically puts itself together. Open it and take The Suffer.

Go back down to the throne room door. Pan up to find the round hole in the left-side door (under the words You Must) and click The Suffer there.

As you walk forward, look at all of the tapestries – they play homage to all of the classic King’s Quest games.

Follow the hall up to the the throne, then go right to the Magic Mirror. Watch the the scene in the mirror. When the mirror goes black. back up and go straight past the throne and through the now open door (it is locked before watching the scene in the mirror). THE END.
